Testimonials

The Admissions Office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and on Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Individuals interested in learning more about the school and its training programs should contact the school to schedule an appointment to meet with an Admissions Representative.

All applicants are required to complete an applicant information record (A.I.R.) and a personal interview with an Admissions Consultant as part of the admissions process. During this interview, we evaluate the individual’s reasons for seeking training and assess their background, experience and previous training.  We try to educate the applicant about the local job market, demand for certain occupations, skills and knowledge required to work in these occupations and about the learning center’s programs and services.  Based on this exchange of information, the Admissions Consultant will make a recommendation as to whether the school offers training and services that will enable them to realize their goals.  If so, a mutual decision will be made as to whether a career program or continuing education track is appropriate and then the course content will be customized if necessary. Students enrolling in any of our career programs must be beyond the compulsory age of attendance and provide proof of receipt of a high school diploma, GED certificate or its equivalent. Students enrolling in any of our office-related programs including Office Information Specialist, Office Information Professional and Medical Office Expert, who do not possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or it’s equivalent may be accepted and enroll if they earn passing scores on the Ability to Benefit (“ATB”) exam, also known as the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (“WBST”). The U.S. Department of Education has mandated that all ATB applicants taking the WBST to qualify for Title IV federal financial assistance must achieve a verbal score no less than 200 and a quantitative score no less than 210 in the same test administration. Only test scores appearing on the Official WBST Individual ATB Score Report provided by the Wonderlic Testing Services Department may be used for ATB determination. This exam will be administered by an independent, certified exam proctor. Upon passing the ATB exam and satisfying all other abovementioned admissions requirements, the applicant may be accepted for admission.  Note that the ATB option is not available to individuals enrolling in any of our Information Technology (IT) programs including IT Professional and IT Expert.

All applicants, including those who are physically or mentally challenged, are considered for acceptance according to the admissions standards stated in the catalog.  If, however, it is felt by the school administration that the disability might limit employment opportunities, the school will share its opinion in this regard with the applicant so that the applicant has full information with which to make the decision whether or not to pursue the training.”
